FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What do you charge for bass lessons?

We offer a number of pricing options - the choice of which often depends on the regularity of lessons. Please click here for more information.

  • What is your approach to teaching bass?

Rockphonix is not a traditional music school in that our approach to teaching is largely informal based on the aspirations of the student.

We still like to create lesson plans and a structured  learning plan however this will be created in conjunction with your teacher and is unique to every student.

So whether you are a complete beginner or you've been playing a while and would like to brish up on your blues guitar licks, we can help.

  • Where are you located in Worcester?

The Rockphonix premises is located on the first floor of 63 Broad Street. We are opposite HSBC (you will see our signs in the window). The entrance is located to the right.

Please note that unfortunately it is stairs access only to the teaching rooms.

  • Do you teach beginner bass players?

We absolutely teach those who are entirely new to the bass! Even if you've never picked one up before, or don't even own your own bass, it does not matter.

Our teachers are accustomed to working with students of all ability levels.

  • What ages do your bass lessons cater for?

We teach students of all ages, from around 7 years old to 65 and above.

Whether you have a little legend wanting to have fun or you're a more mature student looking to learn a new skill, we're sure our teachers can help you.

  • Do I need my own bass?

We have bass guitars available at our Worcester premises. There is no additional charge for using these instruments.

  • Do you cater for formal bass exams?

For those looking for more formal learning we have teamed up with Trinity College London to offer their Rock and Pop exams.

Trinity’s Rock and Pop music exams are all about performance and whether you’re just learning as a hobby or you're looking to become a music maestro, they are a great way of achieving your music grades whilst playing music you know and love.

They can help you learn essential skills in your chosen instrument and are a great way of learning for those who really want to get stuck in. They also count towards UCAS points for A-Level and college students looking to head to university.

  • When are your business hours?

The time of your lesson will depend on both yours and your teacher's availability. We recommend booking a regular slot if possible.

Our teachers are often flexible in their availability right up to 8pm at night.

Our reception is open Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 3pm so please do feel free to call in. Outside of these times please email us all leave a message.
